Montgomery County needed a new +/- 34,000 SF police station to replace the exsiting 21,707 SF, 2nd district police station. This design depicts a 36,000 SF police station with a 129,000 SF apartment / condominium above. All base derived elements, the concrete & metal skin, are peeled away to expose warm wood, producing a residential feel, while the expansive curtain wall delineates the presence of an office.
